PARIS The Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology SA (CSEM) has presented an approach to developing and industrializing CMOS ICs and image sensors aimed at customers requiring a full ASIC service.
CSEM noted that, through what it calls its 'one-stop shop', it designs low-power and/or low-voltage systems-on-chip (SoCs).
"The mission of our ASIC service is to bridge the industrialization gap for small-to medium-volume production, and to foster the transfer of CSEM's integrated circuit (IC) technology to industrial products," stated CSEM.
CSEM claimed it proposes design, industrialization and production of complex analog/digital/RF and high-performance image-sensing SoCs. CSEM said it provides ASIC prototyping, industrialization, testing and production using a network of selected third parties, and has created a test lab for optoelectronic characterization of image sensors and complete visions systems.
The lab, specified CSEM, includes optical and microelectronic testing procedures to qualify image sensors and vision systems.
